BA: German Army Flak 37 8.8cm

The 88, as this gun was known by the Allies, was used as an anti-aircraft gun, anti-tank gun or as an artillery piece. Used in every theatre of WW2 is was one of the few weapons capable of dealing with the Matilda in the desert or the KV1 on the Eastern front. This gun was capable of penetrating armour plate up to 108mm thick at a range of up to 1,100 yards!
